Projectors and home theater equipment is not just for the media room. Taking your home entertainment to the back yard couldn't be easier.
If you have a projector and a portable screen, you could wow the neighbors by showing the big game, or the latest movie from the back yard. Now some folks may have opted for more permanent installation of their home theater equipment, but renting a screen, using the portable one you already have for work, or even making one could be options.
Here's just one example of how this is possible. We set up a portable screen and projector poolside, in order to show slides for our family reunion. The weather was really great, and we sat more people around the pool than could be sat in our media room. It was such a hit, we just grabbed the dvd player, stereo receiver and some speakers, and watched movies for the rest of the night.
Now, we would not recommend open air home theaters on a permanent basis but for special events, there could be nothing better than enjoying family and friends outdoors, and watching movies at the same time! |
